The 2005 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event is proud to welcome Farnam Companies, Inc., a long-time Corporate Sponsor, as Presenting Sponsor.  The Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Farnam, returns to the magnificent Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, April 28-May 1.

We are delighted to welcome Farnam as Presenting Sponsor of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event,” said Alston Kerr, President of Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), producer of Rolex Kentucky.  “We are grateful to them for their support of this event and equestrian sports in general.

The Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Farnam, showcases the highest level of equestrian Eventing competition.  The event attracts the absolute best international riders, including Olympic veterans, Olympic hopefuls, World Champions, Pan American Games medalists, and seasoned veterans of international equestrian competition.

In Eventing, horses and riders are judged on three phases of competition that test the all-around ability of the horse; it is often termed an equestrian triathlon for both horse and rider. No other equestrian sport tests horse and rider so completely.

Entered in the 2005 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Farnam, are Leslie Law, 2004 Olympic Individual Gold Medalist from Great Britain; 2004 Olympic Individual Silver Medalist, Kim Severson; Olympic Team Bronze Medalists from the Athens Olympics Darren Chiacchia and Amy Tryon; and Australia’s Andrew Hoy and Phillip Dutton, Olympic Team Gold Medalists in Sydney in 2000.  Hoy is chasing the elusive Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing, having won the Burghley CCI**** in England in September with his Kentucky entry, Moonfleet. The Rolex Grand Slam awards $250,000 to any rider who can win Burghley, Rolex Kentucky and Badminton in England in succession. Only one rider has claimed the prize so far, Pippa Funnell in 2003.

We are very proud to align our company and products with the United States Equestrian Federation and with such a prestigious event as the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event,” said Chris Jacobi, President of Farnam’s Horse Products Division.  The visibility we receive through The Event provides us with a great platform for showcasing our wonderful product lines—products that were created with the best interests of all horses and riders in mind.

Held annually at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington the last weekend in April, the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day is organized by Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), a non-profit charitable corporation created in 1975 to stage the 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships. Following the success of those World Championships, the U.S. Equestrian Federation asked EEI to organize an annual Three-Day Event in the spring and the Kentucky Three-Day Event was born.

Farnam Companies, Inc., established more than 50 years ago as a small mail-order business, has grown to one of the most recognizable names in the animal health care industry.  Its horse products category has grown so much over the years that Farnam has become the largest marketer of equestrian products in the United States.  Farnam’s many equestrian products include fly control products, nutritional supplements, hoof and leg care products, grooming products, wound treatment, leather care products, and stable supplies.

In 2005, Farnam expanded their equestrian product line even further when they introduced their own signature feed and supplement brand. Adhering to strict standards of quality, the new Platform product line offers a revolutionary, premium selection of feeds and supplements for a comprehensive approach to equine nutrition.
